In March 2021, the Indian automotive industry made a robust recovery after being affected by the nationwide pandemic. With the second wave playing spoilsport, April has seen fluctuating car sales, with only a few models showing concrete growth compared to the prior month. Let’s take a look at April’s sales figures:
Hereabouts is a list of the top-10 leading-selling cars of April 2021. Unsurprisingly, the top five spots have been overshadowed by Maruti Suzuki, with the Wagon-R seizing away the crown from the Swift.
Hyundai also had an awesome showing with the Creta, Grand i10 Nios and Venue, all showcasing remarkable sales.
Maruti Suzuki continues its dominance in the country, once again seeing seven of its models in the top ten. However, the Wagon R tops the list, snatching away the spot from the Swift, which has fallen to second. The Alto comes in third, with the Baleno dropping down two spots. Hyundai’s Creta, Grand i10, and Venue continue to be the only non-Maruti cars to feature in this list although sales of the Creta have dropped by 1.4 per cent, causing it to drop out of the top five.
