LET'S KNOW ABOUT MAHINDRA XUV 700

So , Mahindra is all set to launch it's most-awaited SUV , The Whole new fresh "XUV700" in the third quarter of 2021. The new Mahindra XUV700 has been caught testing numerous times wearing thick cloth. It will come as a replacement for the existing XUV500; however, the next-gen XUV500 will arrive as a 5-seater SUV to rival Tata Harrier and the MG Hector. 

FEATURES

The front fascia of the new Mahindra XUV700 features a bolder and larger six-slat grille, new angular headlamp clusters with boomerang shaped LED DRLs. The SUV looks significantly longer than the previous model with longer wheelbase. The SUV will come equipped with new wraparound LED tail-lamps, roof-integrated spoiler with brake light, sharp fin antenna, A-pillar mounted wing mirrors with integrated blinkers, sloping roofline & multi-spoke alloy wheels.

The new Mahindra XUV700 will be the first model in its category to feature ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). It offer features like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Park Assist. For safety and security, the SUV will get multiple airbags, front and rear parking sensors, 360 degree camera, ESP and a tyre pressure monitor. It is also expected to have 5 star rating as their advertisement video talks about the same . However , it's sibling in the market which is the XUV300 also gets 5-star rating and is titled "SAFEST CAR IN INDIA"

Unlike its rivals which are criticized on not having AWD capabilities , Mahindra nailed it with their product having AWD which is confirmed with their press release .

Talking about the most gimmick feature is the large "SINGLE PIECE SCREEN"  inspired from Mercedes and some sci-fi features such as "FLUSH EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES" as we see in Range Rover Velar and in some of Teslas . Apart from these the seats are electrically adjustable and the controls are present on the door which gets resemblance too from Mercedes. It also gets a powered tailgate . These are some of the features which we might not get on the lower variants of this car . The XUV700 also gets a huge panoramic sunroof and auto folding ORVMs with heating function .

ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS

Mahindra is offering two engine options in the XUV700 , Petrol & Diesel

The DIESEL engine is the mHawk engine of Mahindra which is a 2.2L 4 cylinders engine which produces 178BHP of power and 380NM of torque . It comes in 6-speed transmission in both MT & AT.

The expected mileage figure is around 16kmpl from this engine .

The PETROL engine is the mStallion engine of Mahindra which produces around 190BHP of power which makes it most powerful in the segment . It has a torque output of 380NM and comes in both manual and automatic transmission with a 6-speed gearbox . 

The expected mileage of this engine is around 13kmpl .

It gets driving modes which is significant through the spy shots of this car & is obvious with AWD . It also gets Auto Hold and Electronic Parking brake . 

EXPECTED FEATURES

The Mahindra XUV700 is expected to have connected car technology which they have recently launched named "BLUESENSE" . The 3rd row will be spacious as the wheelbase is extended & will get proper AC vents for pure comfort . It is also expected to get HUD (Heads-up display)

PRICING AND LAUNCH 

The price of XUV700 is expected to be around 12.5L-21.3L ex-showroom and it will hit the Indian market at the end of July & early August .

Mahindra has also patented XUV400 , XUV900 . It might be possible that the 900 will be a 9-seater version  & XUV400 will be a 7-seater version of the XUV300 currently running on the Indian roads .
